External Devices

The Qitio Alarm System is a central unit and a movement sensor in one device. As it only needs power supply and no further cables it can be installed by anybody in a few minutes. The Qitio Alarm Device is extendible with up to 56 external sensors so it is ready for a wide range of usages.

The Qitio Alarm Device is a complete alarm system. However, in some case you would like to use additional sensors to protect the location. Buying several Qitio Alarm Devices would be a possible solution but it would be expensive as you would buy complete alarm systems with related communication cost rather than additional sensors.

In order to attach additional sensors you need to upgrade your Qitio Alarm Device with a receiver called the Qitio Extension Pack - Receiver. With this pack you will receive a receiver which enables your Qitio Alarm Device to communicate with additional sensors. Furthermore, the Qitio Extension Pack - Receiver will include 2 remote controls with which you can arm and disarm you Qitio Alarm Device in the most comfortable way.

Once you have a Qitio Extension Pack - Receiver your can add up to 56 external sensors. These external sensors come in a Qitio Extension Pack - Sensor. They are battery powered so no power supply is required. The battery lasts for 2 years and you will be notified when it is time to replace them, Furthermore, they communicate to the Qitio Alarm Device wireless (433 MHz) which makes them fully independent as no cables at all are required.

The Qitio Alarm System allows you to group sensors and arm individual sensor groups. So being at home you might want to arm your system only with those sensors (e.g.) in the cellar while other sensors in rooms you are currently using are deactivated.

Using external sensors and grouping them gives you all security options you need. And remember: The internet interface to the Qitio Alarm Device will take you step by step through the system so you don't need to be an expert and you don't need to read long manuals.
