How to montage the Qitio Alarm System

The Qitio Alarm Device can be easily installed by anyone. The build in movement sensor reacts on movement of a living creature buy detecting its body temperature. So called PIR sensors are commonly used in movement devices of alarm systems. Behind the window of the Qitio Alarm Device there is such a PIR sensor. Often, you will find such movement sensors mounted very high, close to the ceiling of a room. They will point downwards to better catch the movements. If the alarm system is installed before furniture is placed, it is convenient to mount movement sensors directly below the ceiling as a position very high will ensure that the window of the movement sensor will not be blocked later on by a piece of furniture.

The Qitio Alarm Device has an accumulator which carries it through 36 hours of operation. However, it is recommend to operate the Qitio Alarm Device permanently with a power supply. The Qitio Alarm Device is constructed in such a way that you can place it later easily on a cupboard or shelve. Like this the height between 60 cm and 160 cm pointing forward makes it very efficient, catching movement in an range of 120° and a distance of 6 meter and more. Once you installed it you can check its efficiency and range. The 3rd LED of the device will light when a movement is detected.

External Sensors of the Qitio Alarm System can be placed even more flexible. As they operate with batteries and communicate with the Qitio Alarm device wireless they can be placed at any location you want. Also these devices can be checked as they also have a red led lightening when a movement is detected.
